Skylight Lounge began with a simple idea: to create a place where everyone feels welcome.
A place that feels warm the moment you walk in, where conversations flow as easily as the coffee pours, and where community isn’t a marketing word but the heart of everything we do.

Founded in Bradford in 2024 by Fallaq, Skylight Lounge was built long before the doors opened. After years in STEM and a lifetime of creating art, exploring coffee, and working with people from all walks of life, she dreamt of a space that blended everything she loved. A space that didn’t just serve coffee. It served connection.

Our Space

Every detail of Skylight Lounge has been intentionally designed:

• dual-screen workstations for deep focus
• a soundproof meeting pod
• cosy corners with blankets, books and board games
• a rotating gallery wall featuring local artists
• speciality coffee crafted with care
• a menu that evolves with the seasons and with our community

Skylight Lounge is more than a café. It’s where students revise, freelancers build their ideas, mums take a breath, friends reconnect and strangers become familiar faces.

Skylight Lounge has become a home for open mic nights, workshops, intimate conversations, networking evenings and moments that strengthen Bradford’s cultural heartbeat.

Our Journey

Seven months after opening, Skylight Lounge won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award at the QED YAYA Awards. It was an honour that reflected the support of our city and the people who believed in the vision from day one. But our journey is still only beginning. We’re constantly innovating, growing and finding new ways to give back to the community that shaped us.
